Back once again, it's our occasional foray into the land of the obscure, strange and downright peculiar. And this episode it's the turn of the Hammond Novachord.
Pick any horror movie from the 40's and 50's and the chances are that the soundtrack featured one of these bizarre sounding keyboards from Hammond.
We'll leave the rest of the story to synth historian (and friend of the show) Marc Doty as he guides us through the renovation of his very own Hammond Novachord.

Wow, that's a big diy project! Cool edition of the show, if a bit out of character with the rest.

Thanks for this! People who restore old instuments like this are heroic in my book.

I am now the very proud owner of Marc Doty's Novachord (S/N: 346), which he presented in this video. I have imported this 1/4 ton 163 valve beast to the UK for full restoration. I would be extremely interested to hear from other owners in the UK as, to date, I've not identified a single one.
