This strange semi-installation art piece from Rob Meek and Frank Miller named Meek FM "typographic synthesizer" has been around for a little while, but has passed under my radar. I'm not sure how, as it is suitably odd and yet synth related. With knobs that combine both synthesis and font parameters such as Oscilator level and serif length who can resist? Presumably this one would be aimed at the man of letters (sorry, poor pun). With a video output to show the design of the letter and audio to express the sound of it, it is an unusual device. The pair have no plans to put this into production , it's just a one-off.
