Another cool Flash based audio widget from the Hobnox AudioTool programmer Andre Michelle, who's developing and pushing the boundaries of what is possible in AS3 (Action Script 3), Adobe's Flash scripting language. This app is apparently only 2.4k in size, yet features a reasonably good software modeled guitar strum pattern where the user has control over various aspects of the sound. Andre says:
"This is a Karplus-Strong algorithm implementation, synthesizing a 6-sided guitar without any sample material in AS3. The result is simply amazing and there is still room for tweaking. The guitar body is just simulated by two mixed in low-pass filter with resonance. Also the sequencer is static at the moment. However you have some controls over the general playing characteristics We will develop the guitar for the AudioTool. Thus no sources this time." You should really check it out. And while your there, see what else can be done in Flash, there are a number of great little widgets and doodahs.
