Gear4music introduce the PL-400      12/05/09
Affordable Digital Piano

The is the latest addition to Gear4music's advanced PL digital piano range. They tell us that, even though the PL-400 is the lowest priced in the range, it has many professional characteristics. Here's all the details directly from the company...
The keyboard features 88 weighted keys, 64 voice polyphony and seven touch sensitivity settings. 8 high-resolution sampled sounds add versatility to this piano, allowing for playing diverse instruments such as Church Organs and Harpsichords alongside the conventional piano sounds. Layering allows for construction of varied and intricate sounds across the piano.
The attention to detail common to other pianos in the PL range is also found on the PL-400. It has a smart, refined look that draws parallels with some of the top brands. The PL-400 is available in both Maple and Dark Apple cabinets, making the piano an ideal addition to the home environment. Both a 360 degree image and a full product demonstration video are available on the Gear4music website, giving you an in depth overview of the product.
Demonstration songs are included, allowing the beginner to quickly improve their playing. With transposition and reverb settings, this piano should last the distance as the player improves, and they begin to demand more from their instrument.
As with all in the PL range, an advanced onboard USB MIDI interface means that the piano can be easily integrated into a high tech software setup.
Piano and Keyboard specialist Matthew Collinge is really proud of the new pianos, commenting "I really feel we've achieved something great with these pianos – a combination of features every pianist needs alongside some really high level additions. What's really astounding though is the price we've manage to achieve this at."
