No flash plug
So here's another one, the Novation Automap App allows you to hook up your DAW and Automap friendly software with bi directional communication with the iPhone over Wifi (I guess).
Still in development, the Automap App is going to be released beginning of July at the iTunes App Store and not cost very much - probably.
MIDI CONTROL IN YOUR PALM
Now you can turn your iPhone / iPod touch into a MIDI controller, with multiple faders and buttons easily assigned to parameters in any software that allows MIDI control, and even some that don't!
AUTOMATIC PLUG-IN MAPPING
Instant, wireless, palm-sized control of all automatable VST, AU or Pro Tools format plug-ins in any DAW.
INSTANT VISUAL FEEDBACK
See at a glance how every control on your iPhone / iPod touch is assigned, both on the iPhone / iPod touch itself, and across your computer screen
LEARN AND CLEAR MODES
Make and delete assignments directly from your computer screen using lightening-fast 'Click-Touch-Assign' facilities.
AUTOMATIC MIXER CONTROL
Ideal for remote track arming and muting, transport and master level controls in a growing number of supported DAWs. (Control these elements in non-supported DAWs using separate dedicated Automap systems, or your own custom mappings.)
PLUG-IN AND MIXER MAP BROWSING FACILITY
Get to the right software fast! Control maps are automatically placed into categories depending on type (instrument, mixer etc.) for quick and easy browsing and selection with hardware or software.

This should be a great gimmick for the stage! Imagine having a Live set and working the crowd while you trigger the next scene in your set! Looking forward to it! :)

I have a remote zero and I have to say so far i have been very dissapointed in it's usage with logic pro. it seems that it should work so well with those beautiful lcd displays but yet it is still a pain in the arse to use properly. i just don't get how automap has to be so difficult for develpoers to pull off correctly.

I almost feel like developers are sometimes just developing iphone applications just because they can..
