The Strange Agency is looking for musicians to contribute loops for Slice, their upcoming beat-juggling iPhone app:
The Strange Agency is holding a contest for the best loops to package with Slice upon its release! Loops must be hecka, hella quantized and ready for slicing, dicing, cutting, and milking. This app is all about tight timing and recombinant beat synchrony, so slop cannot be tolerated.
They need sounds by Sept 11th. Prizes are few and far between for this contest, but The Strange Agency promises to "submit each loop to a rigorous ass-test" and give you credit in the app if your loops are used.
Since these guys are being so stringent as to what is acceptable and unacceptable perhaps they should get off their big fat pretentious asses and do it themselves. Tossers.

Yeah, nothing like a demanding favor-asker.
It reminds me of the time I was sitting in on a Korg demo. They were going over some specs on some new products, and one of the Korg zombies said . . . "and later, we're gonna test you on this". And we were like "What do we win?", our collective mind racing with greedy thoughts of free gear.
And the dude paused, then looked around and found some ugly tie that someone had left there from some previous presentation, and held it up and smiled and said "this tie".
After that, I didn't pay attention to anything he, or any of the zombies, said, and steered customers towards anybody else's but Korg's products whenever possible.

The grunt sample on that loop is killing the vibe. Wacktastic.
