Expand Your Knowledge Of Sound In Five Minutes 19-Oct-09
This five minute talk by sound consultant Julian Treasure looks at four ways that sound affects us:
Physiological
Psychological
Cognitive
Behavioral
This presentation is great, because it presents a lot of interesting information about sound and how it affects us, but does it in a concise way that leaves you interested in more. Many of the ideas he presents have direct application to music, too.
Treasure is head of The Sound Agency - a firm that does consulting on how businesses should use sound. He gave this talk at the 2009 TED (Technology, Education, Design) conference.
