Either The Music Industry Has Hit Rock Bottom, Or This Is The Future

Buy The Weezer Snuggie....And You Get Their New Raditude CD 03-Nov-09

It's been interesting over the last few years to see how musicians are experimenting to come up with new ways to package and deliver music.

The latest release by Weezer, though, may inspire some head scratching.

  • You can get their new album, Raditude, as a digital download for $3.99 at Amazon. That's pretty normal.
  • You can get the Deluxe CD & photo book for $20. That's still pretty normal.
  • For $30, though, you get their CD plus a Weezer Blue Snuggie. And for $50 - you get their deluxe CD, the exclusive Weezer Zebra Snuggie and the photo book.

Either the music industry has hit rock bottom - or we're going to see a lot more strange mashups like this in the future.
