Remember breakdancing to the sounds of Afrika Bambaataa, playing on those giant boomboxes of the 80's?

Probably not, unless you're a geezer that brokedanced back in the day.

JVC's new RV-NB50 Kaboom boombox recalls the days of Cybotron, Newcleus and Bambaataa, mercifully skipping the part where your cassette tapes got munched up around the capstans.

The Kaboom boombox, first launched in 1998, has been updated with an iPod dock and USB Host. The JVC RV-NB50 Kaboom also features a CD player that can handle MP3 and WMA file playback and an FM tuner.

Time to get out the cardboard mats?

Pricing and Availability

The new Kaboom boombox is expected to be available this month and retail for US $299.95.
