Gear4music.com has introduced the new AK series of keyboards. Here's what they have to say...
Based on classic home keyboard design, the AK-2177, AK-2188 and AK-818 have been devised to provide a wealth of professional level features, whilst still focussing on affordability. Ideal for both learners and those wishing to experiment with a wider variety of sounds, the AK series offers a superb value solution.
With 61 keys, 100 voices and 100 rhythms included, the AK-2177 Keyboard is ideal for the player developing their technique or just starting out. A record function allows you to monitor your progress each session, while chord control enables access to a wealth of styles. On the front of AK-2177 a clearly set out control panel and LCD display let you take advantage of the Intelligent Guide, which takes you step by step through several songs.
The AK-2188 is a serious keyboard, with 61 keys and 128 PCM voices giving excellent, usable tones for any occasion. With touch response and 100 styles this keyboard will allow you to express yourself straight out of the box. To enhance your sound even further there are a range of effects onboard including sustain, vibrato and dual voice, with transposition and fine tuning at the touch of a button. In addition the AK-2188 boasts a wealth of advanced features such as full MIDI compatibility, recording functionality, one touch preferences and chord accompaniments.
Ideal for the home environment, the AK-818 Keyboard with integrated Rosewood Stand is an instrument that can add musical style to any environment. Aside from the smart, classic finish the keyboard has a large number of features and sounds. 61 touch sensitive keys allow access to 128 voices and 128 rhythms, which can be split across the keyboard. On board are a range of demonstration songs as well as a record and playback sequencer that help you take your playing to the next level.
Matthew Collinge, Gear4music's Product Development Manager, explained why the company was increasing its range of home keyboards; "After painstaking research and development, working very closely with our suppliers, we're proud to finally launch the AK range. Our MK keyboard series has proved incredibly popular - I'm excited to be able to bring a new range to market that enhances the features and sounds on board, but maintains our commitment to providing excellent value for money. I can't wait to see what people make of them!"
Pricing and Availability:
The AK range keyboards are available throughout Europe and ship with power supplies included. UK RRP has been confirmed at £49.99 for the AK-2177 Keyboard, £99.00 for the AK-2188 Keyboard and £139.95 for the AK-818 Keyboard. More information:
