Quick round up of the new products from Steinberg shown at MESSE. Including:
Wavelab 7 - now for OS X
Halion Sonic - all new do-it-all VSTi
Cubase 5.5
More From: STEINBERG
LOL at 1:30 - what an idiot cameraman! Zooms into the guy's face, while the guy is pointing at the screen, trying to show us what he is actually talking about. What is it with cameramen nowadays? Zooming in and out, trying to make it 'interesting', except that we, the viewers, don't actually get to see what WE want to see. Halion Sonic will never beat Hypersonic2, it doesn't offer as much power. You can't have 16 different elements in one preset, wavetable, sample, FM, or analog synth, SIXTEEN of them, in one preset. Hypersonic2 does that. Halion Sonic doesn't. Result: epic fail.

Sorry Hyper, sometimes its not all that easy to follow, we do try to do our best and - yes that cameraman was me - last time I checked I didn't think I was an idiot :-)
But things may have changed, MESSE has a way of doing that to you

After viewing some of the videos at the sonic state site I almost want to kill myself when I have to watch the same M-Audio commercials over and over. Please, do something about this! Nothing will ever make my buy M-Audio products anyway.

@CrazyDriver - simple, we pay Nick £1 every time we watch a SonicState video and the embedded advertising can go. I for one am very pleased that Nick and everyone at SonicState are able to give us the quality music journalism that they do for free by funding their operation with advertising. Everyone has to eat, you know, even journalists ;o)
