MySpace was once one of the most important, if not the most important, websites for musicians. Musicians would create MySpace pages for their bands before creating their own Web pages.
MySpace development has seemed to stagnate over the last few years, though. And FaceBook has moved past MySpace to become the largest social network and the 2nd most popular site on the Internet, behind Google.
Now, it looks like MySpace may be making some changes to try and recapture its former glory.
They've announced a new design for profile pages, shown above, that gives the pages a more professional look and makes them easier to read.
About the new profiles, MySpace says “We’re testing a new look and feel of our site among users and the response so far has been positive.”
What do you think? Will updating MySpace's look help the site recapture its importance for musicians?
