@gugo80 It's in English, but it's only sold in Japan.
@FacestabMan I say DS-10+ only because the M01 is Japan only. You would have to import it.

DS10 is an analog-like synth with VCA, VCF capabilities, you create sounds with it. (2 mono synths + 1 drum, up to 6 simultaneous sounds). Sequencing is based upon patterns you can switch live. DS10+ doubles these figures on DSi and allows multi player mode.
M01 is a digital samples based workstation. You only use already built sounds but you got up to 8 tracks, each one beeing polyphonic.
So it depends if you prefer to create sounds or create multi track songs.
Would you recommend this or DS-10?
@peter47a stretching samples changes its time = lenght, envelope, everything real pro sampling keyboards has different sample per key, or sometimes few samples per key (velocity)
@Yunneck even today subtractive sample based synthesis is used in every workstation. I don't get your point.
with korg m01 you can't edit sound as with korg ds10
M1 was always lame. Stretched samples? Its not even synth. LAME! prove me wrong

@GogorisChannel Actually, there are a few carts enhanced for DSi (such as the upcoming Pokemon Black and White) that are region-locked. However, the lock only works on the DSi, so DS lites aren't affected by it.
@hahftmxpknvuu Korg M01 is NOT region-locked, so you can play this on any DS systems and the new 3DS.
Reminds me ALOT of ocarina of time haha! Ds-10 was a great product, looking foward to giving this a try..
when i can plug this into my mixer and sequence it via MIDI or WIFI i will buy a DS + this :D
@spoddie Yep, a shitty 80's synth which is still in widespread use throught the industry today. I have a shitty Ensoniq SQ80, Korg DW8000 and Casio CZ1 from the 80's, gotta love that 80's shit!

If it is DSi enhanced it will only start on a DSi from the same region.
@hahftmxpknvuu The DSi is not fully region locked. You can play any cart game you want. DSiWare is the only "region locked" portion.

@zanduro it looks like he's using a regular DS lite (no camera etc) so I'm hoping DS will be good enough (I don't want to buy a DSi...)
i am definitely going to buy myself a nintendo ds thanks to this, but... is this only for nintendo dsi or is nintendo ds lite also ok (i know that for ds10, dsi has higher polyphony or power or something)?
