Universal Audio conitnue their domination of the third party audio DSP accellerator market with the announcement of the UAD-2 Satellite, a FireWire version of their UAD-2 range, available in Duo and Quad versions (2 and 4 Sharc chips) which give you access to all the UAD-2 plugs available.
Priced the same as the PCI-e cards and bundles, these devices mean all your Macs can now be UAD-2 equipped.

On another note, we've just heard that TC Electronic are discontinuing the PowerCore platform and offering crossgrade packages for people wishing to move over to the UAD side.
