Our first brief visit to the excellent SuperBooth of Schneiders Buero - dont worry there is more to come, we caught up with Thomas from Vermona who was showing off the new perfourmer MKII - with OSC sync and a few other goodies.
Expected later this year at around 1400 EURO

Having owned the original Perfourmer, the updates (PWM, sync, sine waves) are all very nice but boy the price has gotten quite high :(

The original looked more sexy.

I was with him all the way until he said "1,400 euros" at which point I said I think I'll just get some more Doepfer modules.

The price is fair. 325 per voice is much cheaper than 1090 for one Oberheim SEM voice...and the Perfourmer MK2 sounds just as good.

Hey Nick,
I know it's been a while, but with all the new analog synths that have come out eg. Slim Phatty, Minibrute, etc. it'd be nice to see a Sonic State review for this one, and see how it stacks up. Looks like it'd be a nice replacement for the old Mono/Poly too!

That's not really a fair comparison because each Vermona voice has only one oscillator whereas each Oberheim SEM has two. So if you want to get a really fat unison sound, the synth becomes duophonic as you have to "stack" two of the voices. But I will admit that the Oberheim is slightly overpriced because of the famous name on the boc.
