As the AES Show in New York closes, we take a look at some of the bigger announcements - Pro Tools 10 and HDX, Moog Ladder filter, then we enjoy an interview with John Carpenter, director and composer on a number of classic films. Then we talk John Foxx who is currently touring his album Interplay. Then we discuss the study that shows 79% of "popular hits" feature a synthesizer as the primary instrument - oh and most are basically about sex in one form or another - nothing new there then.

Looks like the video feed is only 10 minutes, if the whole thing got recorded, you might look at what's going on there. I've gotten used to watching the vid of the show.

Also, when listening to the audio from the page with the show notes and the Sonic Talk theme competition and whatnot, When I click the play button that I'm guessing loads a flash audio player, it loads one in the background that can't be controlled, and another that can be controlled. It's done this for a while in Safari (just checked a 2nd computer, same issue there).

Yeah I spotted that last night - too late to resend. Ustream can be somewhat troublesome in free mode- which is why we only use it for archive. I'm sending it back up again today so should be there.

The audio is fine though

The suspense is killing me. Who won the competition? I missed most of the live show this morning (Nov. 2).
