Lord knows whrre he finds the time, but Dream Theater's super-dexterous keyboard player  Jordan Rudess, has released another iOS app. GEO Synthesizer is the result of a collaboration with his usual developer partner Kevin Chartier and Mugician developer Rob Fielding.

GEO Synthesizer performs as both a synthesizer with four waves plus FM and effects, and it can be used as a MIDI controller either internally via Virtual MIDI ports. That's right, to control other apps on the same iPad, or in the real word via iPad hardware out or MIDI over WIFI - which is a breeze to seup up via the AudioMIDI control panel in OS X.

Jordan says "it's the fastest playing surface I've yet experienced on an iOS device" and he should know, his mind-bendingly fast riffing gives him centre stage when Dream Theater perform live (they are now on tour).

We interviewed Jordan recently (here) - he said he couldn't wait to start using GEO Synthesizer on stage - he currently uses Morp Whiz and SampleWhiz - two of his previous apps.
