A look at the physical modeling synth Chromaphone from AAS.

With two independent models that can work together with what is called coupling, where the two physical element interract to create a unique tone with its own physical properties.

Chromaphone seems best suited to percussiuve and metalic sounds and offers quite an expressive, playable sound engine.

Available in all the usual plug-in formats.
