Much of out time at MusikMesse is conducted in Hall 5.1, the home of most things that fall into our spheres of interest here at Sonic.
The major manufacturers have the big stands in the centre aisles, but take a walk around the outer regions and very often it's the smaller manufacturers who are doing interesting things and pushing the boundaries.
And it was in the outer reaches of Hall 5.1 that I came upon Seelake who had a pretty powerful VST & Audio workstation on display.
Raffaele Turra gave me a tour of the features - here's a quick summary of what the AudioStation offers:-
For maximum compatibility with the VST protocol it runs on a Windows kernel - basically, it can run a whole bunch of VST instruments, FX, act as a MIDI patchbay and provides an individual monitor mix to musicians as well as recording, mixing and playing back audio.
The Digital Mixer has 4 VST slots per channel and can load up to 76 plugins(!)
Phew.
