FL Studio Mobile Android October Update

Progress slow, but getting there      09/10/12

Buying Choices

There was much excitement over the news that Image-line were working on an Android version of FL-Studio Mobile.

Why is this significant?

Well so far, Android music making apps have been pretty thin on the ground, it generally being thought that developing for the OS is frankly a bit of a pig. If Image-Line can prove the concept, then maybe we'll see a few more apps for the platform - which would be a Good Thing - not that I begrudge Apple their world domination of course...

So Image-Line  just posted this October update with news of progress:

Ported:

Keyboard
Drum pads
Track editor
Step editor
Playback & Recording
Instrument screen (categories to do)
Project screen (.flm files from the iOS version can be loaded)
Effects
Loading screen

To do:

Bar editor
Piano-roll
Step graph editor
Popup windows
Share and export
Setup
Adaptations for even more screen resolutions
Testing on all the different devices
Audio Recording (Note: won't be available in the first Android release, scheduled for 1.1)

Stay tuned...
