Artist Atomic Shadow has an intriguing setup , his collection of test oscillators, modular kit and digital synthesizers let him create some really unusual musica textures and soundscapes. He also uses a lot of found atmospheric sounds and indeed has his own Kontakt based Panoramic Wave Generator out.

In the blog post accompanying this video of his live performance of Signals From An Elusive Muse, he atempts to describe his process and method for making creative decisions  when working with his unusual collection of sound sources. His album of last year: Twelve Full Moons reached the attention of Brian Eno -

"A really interesting piece - deep, entrancing. I wanted more of it."

Mr Shadow was understandably pleased:

"the last comment there made me feel a bit dizzy. Brain Eno was the inspiration for my entire Atomic Shadow project with a quote that I read in an interview. He said that sometimes you have to take your best shot and paint a bullseye around where the arrow hits."

Its a good read, and a good listen.
