Who'd have thunk that a Casio XW-G1 (we reviewed the P1 last year) would fetch such dizzying heights?
The custom, limited edition Casio XW-G1 Groove synthesizer with a paint job by sought after designers Dee & Ricky is a private sale via eBay US. The Buy It Now price is a cool $20,000 though the seller may not ship out to Europe (current location Vancouver, Canada).
The original XW-G1 retails for as low as £249 in the UK - full retail price being around £499.
Two units were given away via Casio's Facebook page this Summer after being custom designed by the G-Shock design duo.
I guess one lucky winner figured he could get a small fortune for his. I wonder if I got a local crew to tag the XW-P1 I could get a few $$K for it?
Developments for Korg's instrument have been slow but promising.
