At NAMM 2014 new DAW style mixer/transport control surfaces from Behringer are the X-Touch and X-Touch Compact. Both are designed to offer DAW mixer and transport type control with the X-Touch aimed squarely at the Mackie Control type user. With the same kind of 9 motorized fader, jog/shuttle control and MC or HUI protocol which allows tight integration with the mixer and transport control functions of the DAW.
Additionally, there are a number of other cool features - two port USB hub - you could for instance hook up an X-Control Mini or other class compliant controller for integration with the X-32 series mixers, ethernet connectivity - you may for instance control an X32. price - $599
X-Touch Compact offers the same Mackie Control format but with an additional MIDI mode but a less comprehensive transport control. It also has the built-in two port USB hub, 9 motorized faders, 16 rotary controllers and 32 assignable buttons (4 per channel).
X-Touch Mini - a little bus-powered mini controller 8 backlit rotary encoders each channel with two assignable buttons plus a single short fader. It also has a MC mode for Mackie Control mode, plus two layers for essentially two configurations.
Looks good. Anyone have dimensions? Can't find 'em on the site.

Just got off the phone from their distributor in Australia. 6 to 8 months wait? Ridiculous. They added that Behringer is notorious for announcing product but not delivering as they are still waiting on product Behringer announced at NAMM 2013.
