Casio America, Inc. has announced that its Privia Pro PX-5S Stage Piano is the recipient of The Music & Sound Retailer 's Best Keyboard and Sound Module Award of 2013. The Music & Sound Retailer highlights the most innovative products and latest technological developments in the music industry.

Stephen Schmidt, Vice President of Casio's Electronic Musical Instrument Division, told us, "We at Casio are extremely excited to be recognized in this category for our new Privia Pro PX-5S stage piano. Casio's Privia Pro PX-5S is a genuine stage piano, controller and workstation packed with functions that set it apart from standard models. Equipped with Casio's proprietary sound source, 'AiR' (Acoustic and intelligent Resonator), the PX-5S delivers unmatched realism and detail while providing sensational dynamics and damper resonance – truly making it a groundbreaking digital piano. We are proud to be an honoree and hope that musicians recognize our dedication to creating quality instruments."

At Winter NAMM 2014, The Music & Sound Retailer announced that Casio had been declared an award winner. For this award process, dealers and manufacturers vote for one another based on their respective categories. Casio's PX-5S received a great number of endorsements from dealers nationwide.

"Music & Sound Awards are so highly coveted by--and so meaningful to--manufacturers because it's the dealers themselves who determine the winners," said Dan Ferrisi, editor of The Music & Sound Retailer. "This Music & Sound Award win underscores the impact that the Privia Pro PX-5S stage piano made among brick-and-mortar music products retailers last year. The Retailer congratulates Casio on this prestigious honor!"
