Why are most free synths for Windows? Don't these developers know most computer musicians use a Mac? Can't you port to Mac? Or - is this some bedroom hobby operation ??

@Mac_Musician: So... have you sent Serrano a Mac, an XCode license and this link: http://www.synthedit.com/members/making-mac-plugins/ ?

If yes, then I understand your frustration for not having free Mac OS VSTs from him.

Hello, i'm benoit serrano, the developer of Horus. My VST are made using Synthedit, and this software is only Windows compatible. No way to make AU...

The irony is i'm a Mac user, and Windows run in a virtual machine (Parallels).

Contrary to what Mactards actually believe most musicians use PC machines. Source most polls on different big forums like KVR, Audiofanzine, Gearlutz. Thanks Benoît btw ;)

@Mactards: I think you're living in 1998 or there about. There isn't a working musician out there not using a Mac. We're in the 21st century.

@Benoit - thanks for your reply and nice work, but there are too many free synths being released for windows only so I genuinely believe you're largely wasting your time unless you start looking towards the mac world. You might be better off developing synths using Max for Ableton or synths for NI Reaktor.
