Diego Olivas a writer for zZounds.com has created a blog post on electronic music which flows into a visual timeline describing its rise and continuation.

Diego had this to say, "I don't think anyone has done a visual timeline describing how all these influences: music (audio and video), instruments, locations, and people (most importantly), combined together to create what we call Electronic Dance Music. This first part covers one major totem contributing to the rise of our current form of electronic dance, its the sequence-driven music of early 70's Berlin artists like Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze, Manuel Göttsching, Popol Vuh, and many more. The second part (coming in the near future) will outline the rise of Post-Disco, House, Garage after this early golden era and much more."
