Patchworks, the makers of the Conductr iPad Controller for Traktor and Ableton has sent us this video of musicians using it to turn household junk into instruments.
They tell us that Conductr, will play a creative role at the Sonar music, arts & tech festival, taking place in Barcelona from 18th- 20th of June 2015, where they will be inviting visitors to use it.
A spokesperson told us, "The interactive installation, called HiLo, is a collaboration between Conductr and CaboSanRoque a Catalan music group who manipulate everyday objects into musical instruments. In HiLo they take objects such as a typewriter, a comb and a can of insecticide and reveal their musical personality. Using a similar process, Conductr turns the iPad into a powerful instrument and music creation tool. Together they explore the idea of making music from things which weren't originally made for that purpose while also exploring the relationship between technology and musicians."
