Roman Filippov has shared these images of Deckard's Dream, an 8-voice polyphonic DIY clone of the original Yamaha CS-80. And like many any people you're probably thinking that you don't want to build a CS-80... Well luckily for you there is also a built version in the works.

You may well be looking at these images and think that there is a lack of CV control, however there is a complex CV expander unit planned. So this may well be a patchable CS-80 in the end!

There is also a lack of ring mod , chorus and spring reverb which Roman explains will be coming in a 1U expander.

The expressiveness of the original CS-80 came mainly from the implementation of polyphonic aftertouch, however with a rack mounted version you loose all that... So to address this, possibly major pitfall, Roman has stated that he will be looking into maybe implementing MPE (Multidimensional Polyphonic Expression).
