You probably know that Celestion is a loudspeaker company, and have put speakers in guitar cabs since they were invented, probably... but you might not know (and I certainly didn't) that they supply over 1,000 drivers a day(!) for cabinets in the PA market. That's a heck of a lot of Celestion drivers out there!

PA technology had really been progressing over the years, and Celestion have been working hard on the driver side of the equation too - and they have released what many have being saying is impossible - a single driver with an extremely wide frequency range that needs no crossover.

The new Axi2050 can go from 300Hz to 20,000Hz - according to Ken Weller, it's only the latest advances in mathematical modelling that have made the development possible, and it uses some pretty clever waveguide and chamber technology.

The word 'revolutionary' was used - and I have no doubt it'll lead to some pretty interesting new PA designs in the future.
