Instrument Racks are a powerful way to combine both internal and external instruments, samples with effects, MIDI splits and layers and macro control. What you may not know is that its possible to setup multiple Instrument Rack configurations within a single rack and switch between them using chains. When performing with the trio 2 Billion Beats, Tom uses Live to allow him to combine live electronic instruments, (Moog Minitaur, Dave Smith Tetra 4, Vermona DRM MKII, AcidLab Bombass) with Live's flexible in-the-box capabilities for certain elements, live input processing and automation.
