Free Wave Alchemy Drum Sample Pack

Free to download from their website, Wave Alchemy says that Evolve is a colourful collection of high-impact drum samples and sound design elements, painstakingly created within their Evolution drum machine. This is what they have to say about it...

Comprising 300 kicks, snares, claps, hi-hats, toms, cymbals, percussion hits and sound design tools, Evolve draws on a wide variety of sources, including sought-after modern and vintage analogue drum machines, modular synths, world-class live rooms and acoustic instruments, found sounds, processed Foley, prepared percussion and more. Most of the samples have been designed from scratch using Evolution’s powerful layering and processing tools, while the rest are lifted directly from the Evolution library.

As well as being a must-have sample pack in its own right (it’s free, after all, so you’d be mad not to!), Evolve makes for a revealing taster of what to expect from Evolution itself. Housing over 28,000 equally high-quality sounds in a powerful plugin, Wave Alchemy’s award-winning software beatbox features an intuitive browser and X/Y pad-based drum layering engine, flexible note and effects step sequencing, an extensive modular macro system, per-voice sound design parameters and effects, and over 400 preset kits and sequenced grooves. Bringing acoustic and electronic drums and percussion together like no instrument ever has before, Evolution’s focus is on the creation of new, visionary drum sounds that push the boundaries of what’s previously possible. It’s drum programming evolved.
