You Can Win An 0-Coast By Grabbing Richard Devine's Latest Album

US Years of modular condensed into a cohesive listening experience      24/08/18

Richard Devine is back with a new album on Venetian Snares Timesig Label. The latest album is the culmination of years of modular experiments. If you have followed Richard's experiments and the development of his modular at all over the last few years this first track might surprise you slightly. (Its not as crazy as you might expect....)

In comparison to some of his old records, this first track has a very measured and mature form. This is obviously due to the fact that Richard has taken years to hone his craft on the modular. In the Press material Richard explains that all of his previous records had been made using computers, he wanted to explore the possibility of making complete tracks on the modular system that took him 5 years to develop.

“I wanted the record to sound very different to my previous works which had been more cold, digital, clinical even, and had all been made using computers. The aim here was the complete opposite, to create something that felt very organic, detailed, spacious, big and warm and just as importantly, a record that you could put on and play all the way through that flowed in a seamless way.”

Every purchaser of the triple vinyl or CD formats on Bandcamp or the Mu Store will have their name entered into a prize draw for an 0-Coast semi-modular portable synth from Make Noise.
