Bowed, Rubbed & Frozen Cymbal Effects

US Soundiron releases Cymbology for Kontakt      14/04/22

Soundiron describes Cymbology, built for the full retail version of Kontakt 5.5 or later, as a massive collection of percussion effects built around bowed cymbals & gongs. Here's the details in their own words...

We explored bowing them in exquisite detail, with dozens of variations and even experimented with dry ice. These often sought-after dramatic scoring fundamentals are perfect for setting dark moods, building stingers, and manipulating in any number of ways to evoke sonic images both dark and light. For this 2.0 upgrade, we remastered the samples and inserted them into our flexible four-layer modular user interface. After that, we expanded these tones with new ambient organic soundscapes and 20 custom FX presets to keep your inspiration flowing. Inside Cymbology, you'll find a spectacular array of pads, drones, synths, swirling dreamscapes, nightmarish hellscapes and complex evolving textures.
