Apple's design team have been at it again, this time it’s a new iPod – the iPod nano. Essentially they taken the regular iPod and crammed it into an even smaller form factor. Available in 2 and 4GB models the new nano holds up to three days’ worth of music. It can play for up to 14 hours between battery charges and can display artwork or your photos via the built in colour 1.8inch LCD. Clearly, the Christmas market must be in their sights and quite possibly they will clean up with this one. It goes without saying that the nano will sync perfectly with your iTunes via the supplied cradle and will also hold up to 25 thousand contact and calendar events. Weighing in at a mere 42g, it’s practically weightless. It syncs through USB ports (1 or 2.0) it can charge its battery too (a full charge taking about 3hrs). Audio formats supported:
AAC (16 to 320 Kbps), Protected AAC (from iTunes Music Store), MP3 (16 to 320 Kbps), MP3 VBR, Audible (formats 2, 3, and 4), Apple Lossless, WAV, AIFF There are two models available: 2GB $199, 4GB $249
