AmpliTube 2.0 Unveiled

US Super Modeling and StompIO USB foot controller      05/10/05

Premium effects underfoot

Everyone knows that IK Multimedia’s Amplitube does a fine job when it comes to amp and effects modelling for the guitar. Amplitube version 2.0 is a redesigned sequel application which maintains its traditional high-end sound and ease of use while offering tremendously enhanced new features, “raising the standard of modeling processors to an unprecedented level of hi-quality emulation and extreme flexibility. To help get the most from it’s new Amplitube, IK has entered into the world of hardware for the first time ever with the AmpliTube StompIO, a dedicated USB foot controller able to fully control AmpliTube 2. Clearly they are ready to rock. Just check out the new trailer featuring hot babes with guitars:

The new USB interface provides a floor friendly way to control the extra power that Amplitube 2.0 has to offer. With 10 footswitches and connectors for up to 6 expression or switch pedals you should be able to fully express yourself. The StompIO offers a USB audio interface with inputs and outputs for guitar, mono amp, stereo mix and headphones out all with ultra low latency. It offers full control over Amplitube 2.0 via USB so you might even be able to run it on a mac mini without screen or mouse (I wonder) for a powerful live or studio setup. Features
- Ultra low latency USB
- Hi-quality direct Guitar IN
- Direct OUT
- Low-level STEREO OUT
- Balanced STEREO OUT
- Digital SPDIF OUT
- Headphones OUT
- MIDI IN/OUT
- 6 external controllers, pedal/switches
