We asked Dan to create a demo for our WaveJunction Max For Live instrument, and what he sent us was piece created using generative music techniques within Ableton live. Utilising MIDI filters, effects and velocity routings, all fed into instances of Wavejunction.
So we asked him to explain, how he did it. The technique is based on a tutorial by Angstrom, and uses a combination of MIDI filtering, MIDI FX and racks to create sequences based on the input of a single MIDI note. Dan modified and tweaked to give more control.
By the way, we're offering a 10% discount on Wavejunction - just use the code WJGEN at checkout.
