NAMM 2019: Panoptigon Could Be The Best Thing At NAMM

US MIDI controlled Optigon recreation      31/01/19

This is one of our favourites from the show, we're just glad it exists. This was a back burner project at Quilter Labs for Robert Becker. Who was first into Optigons via Optigan.com. He figured out a way to produce new discs for the Optigon with a quite convoluted printing process.

Robert then decided he would create a new Optigon playback system. The originals were kind of crappy plastic made by Mattel.

This one has high quality stepper motors, on board effects and MIDI control. We spoke to Robert about this thing of beauty. Don't get too excited, they aren't going to be cheap at around $3900 and of course, they are pretty much hand built. But who wouldn't want one?

Available for preorder.
