NAMM 2023: Freqport - Freqtube

US Analogue warmth with digital control      14/04/23

We went to the Freqport booth, where Mikael showed us their latest product, the Freqtube. Giving true analogue warmth, the FT1 contains four tubes, all connected via one USB to the computer where those tubes show up as a vst. The plug-in is only a controller, so there's no processing happening in the computer with ll the action happening in the box. The signal path offers an overdrive to 18 dB, bringing out odd and even harmonics, and an analog mix.

The Freqtube also offers digital filters with precision for the wet and dry signal path. There's a high pass, low pass, and band pass filter, and you can even invert the filters and leaving only pure saturation. And all this analog warmth benefits from full digital-style recall.

Freqtube available: Now

Price: 920 USD - 850 Euros
