PowerFX Systems have revamped and re-launched their online PowerFX sound library www.powerfx.com. The new system is a custom, “ground-up” reconstruction and expansion of the PowerFX sound library. In addition to the new system design, the library will now reside on a new server featuring a fast (100Mbps) internet connection. The website has also been redesigned and expanded to include many new functions. Some of the new features are as follows:
  • A totally new search engine that is easy to use and very fast.
  • Thousands of great new samples and sound effects added to expand the online library.
  • A whole new section devoted to Sample Packs where you can search for and download custom sample collections in a variety of formats.
  • A cool looking new CD shop where buying CDs online is easier than ever!
  • Multiple sound preview options: Windows Media, Flash (which plays direct from the users internet browser), or RealPlayer.
  • Ability to sort search results and Personal Page by tempo, style or key.
  • A sleek and classy new website with a logical layout to make navigation a breeze.
  • And much more! “After selling sounds online for almost 2 years now, we feel we are taking the online experience to another level in creating PowerFX 2.0. In the past we’ve made sample CDs first and then uploaded them to our online database. We’ve developed our new system to focus more on direct, up to the minute online releases. We feel this will keep our users in touch with the latest in musical styles and fresh, innovative sound effects.” says Bil Bryant, CEO of PowerFX Systems. Current PowerFX customers will maintain their accounts under the new system with only a few minor changes. Sounds previously stored in the “Bought Sounds” folder will now be located on the “Personal Page”. Any questions or comments regarding the new site are welcome at info@powerfx.com.
