Rain Recording Dual & Quad-Core DAW

Rain Recording have unveiled the new generation of their flagship Element line of digital audio workstations in the US and Europe. Rain tell us that their new Element pays homage to the original with a beautiful and distinctive all-aluminum exterior combined with a balanced component architecture engineered to endure the most demanding audio production environments. Element is driven by Intel's latest "Penryn" processor technology and is available in Dual- and Quad-Core configurations with up to 6 Terabytes of high-speed storage.
Rain president, Bill Paschick told us, "Element is the DAW that started it all for Rain Recording and we wanted to do something very special for the new design. I am proud to announce the next generation of the Element line: a culmination of years spent working closely with audio professionals combined with our experience designing mission-critical, audio workstations. We believe musicians, producers and content creators will find that the new Element workstation embodies all of the stability and performance that made the original so popular, and appreciate the very best new features and expansion today's audio professionals demand."
Here’s how Rain recording describe Element …
The Element line offers unprecedented expansion via full size PCI Express slots, FireWire, USB 2.0 and eSATA ports. At its core, the Element features Rain's Quiet Cool technology that fine-tunes each system to prevent audio engine failure, data bottlenecks and heat build-up while enhancing stability and performance. On the outside, the sleek, all-aluminum chassis lets heat dissipate naturally so the internal cooling system can run quieter for virtually silent operation.
Since the beginning of Rain Recording, Element has symbolized the pursuit of the perfect digital audio workstation. Today, the new Element officially marks the next generation of that pursuit with a powerful new architecture engineered to be a robust platform for industry-standard digital audio software and hardware including Pro Tools, SONAR, Cubase and more.
