A Year Of Free Ableton Live Packs

AfroDJMac celebrates 52 weekly releases with a download of 5 different synths      29/03/12

AfroDJMac tells us that his 52nd Free Weekly Ableton Live Pack is Korg-asbord One Year Celebration, which features 5 different synths for Ableton. AfroDJMac told Sonic State, "The first three come from a song I have been working on called 'This is on Your Mind' as seen on my video. I created the sounds using the Korg iMS-20 iPad app and brought them into Ableton to finish the track. They feature a thick gritty bass sound, a cutting lead sound and some dirty drums. I would say they have a somewhat 8-bit feel. The fourth synth was made with a sample of the Korg Monotron Duo, supplied by one of my readers, Hamtone. This synth is made of two different Monotron Duo samples and a sine wave sub bass sampled from Ableton's Operator. Finally, as a special bonus, the last one is a sampled upright bass synth that was sent in by another one of my readers JM-DG. It's an amazing instrument that I think is so well done and useful that I am releasing it exactly as he sent it to me."
