King Of The Mono Synths 2013 - RESULT

And the Winner!

Arturia MicroBrute

There's no denying this little synth lives up to the hype, with a tiny form factor and affordable price, its got buckets of charisma.

On paper the synth engine doesn't appear to be all that special, but put one in front of you and even better, start patching up with the patch points either internally or to other modular gear and you are not going to make it to whatever it was you had planned before you switched it on. Described as the gateway drug to modular, it can't be denied, MicroBrute is a bit special - and you thought so too.

Arturia's CEO Frederic Brun told us:

"We are extremely happy the MicroBrute was elected King of the monosynths. Electing a king is probably where the British and the French would end up should they have to create a constitutional regime of their own... Thank God they don't have to.
Anyway, in the musical kingdom, this coronation
rewards Arturia engineers for many years of hard work in the sound synthesis domain, starting with the the Moog Modular V in 2003. Thank you, musicians, for your support. We really hope you will enjoy playing and creating with the MicroBrute."
