Superbooth 2018: Dasz Alex Updates Stand Alone Production System

US Expandable modular production system      17/05/18

We last saw the Dasz ALEX at NAMM earlier in the year. Since then there have been more features added to the expandable music production system which is currently in development. So whats new?

Each track contains its own bank of 128 sequencer patterns. Patterns can be edited one track at a time and viewed across all ALEX modules, or split, allowing up to 4 tracks to be edited at once. Every pattern has independent step resolution, loop start and end points, and can be up to 128 steps long. Every step includes a note, velocity, duration, delay, and repeats.  Holding a step edits 4, 8, 12 or 16 steps at a time and provides control of other track parameters at the same time.

Scenes can switch sequencer patterns on one or more tracks as well as alter any other parameters, creating seamless transitions for arranging and improvising live sets.

What is ALEX?
ALEX is an  expandable music performance system.
It features 4, 8, 12 or 16 stacked stereo tracks. Each track can have  a polyphonic analog and sampling instrument, a step sequencer, looper, and stereo effects.
