Greg Wells Signature Compressor Released

We brought you news when this was announced, and now Acustica Audio has been in touch to say that El Rey, their Greg Wells Signature Compressor, is now available. This is what they have to say about it…

Born from an exclusive collaboration between Acustica Audio, Studio DMI and GRAMMY®-winning producer/mixer Greg Wells (Katy Perry, Keith Urban, Adele, OneRepublic, Ariana Grande, Pharrell Williams, Dua Lipa, Deftones, Aerosmith, Burt Bacharach, Celine Dion - just to name a few), 'El Rey' is based on one of the most sought-after tube compressors of all time - used in the 50s and 60s by TV, AM & FM broadcasting companies and recording studios.

El Rey brings ultra-smooth, velvety and superbly musical compression to the digital domain, like never before. Acustica Audio’s voodoo technology made it possible to ‘port’ the sonic soul of the original unit over from hardware to a world dominated by DAW-based studios, for all musicians and engineers to use and replicate in their sessions and to give their productions an extremely articulate analog tone, hardly found elsewhere.

El Rey includes dedicated presets from Greg Wells himself, Dave Pensado, Joe Chiccarelli, Serban Ghenea, Jason Evigan, David Kalmusky, Alan Meyerson, Spike Stent, busbee and Mark Rubel, for immediate, musical results.

Pricing and Availability:
El Rey is available in the Acustica Audio's store at an introductory pricing of €148 (45% OFF the final MSRP of €269)
