We always like to get in a pure technology story or two from the shows, and this ones a doody.

Archwave make a self contained board that adds audio interfacing to audio devices such as mixing desks. With both Firewire and USB and 16 inputs you can see that it might be useful in a desk to record to your DAW directly form the channels. But not only that, it also has a self contained audio recorder - stick a USB drive in the USB port and you have WAV file recording capabilities without the need of a computer.

Just whack the drive into your DAW when you get home, and import the files straight in. The hardware currently supports 24bit 44.1/48kHz, but 96kHz is coming and also it could be possible to birng 16 discrete returns back into the analog channels assuming the desk is built to recieve them.

I can think of one or two applications for this board and indeed even one where it is already installed, can you?
